MTSU publishes story on the Science Communication Education Research Network (SCERN) led by Liz!

The Science Communication Education Research Network (SCERN) brought together more than 30 scholars in Minnesota to create a call-to-action essay and plans to build the new discipline of science communication education research (SciCommEd Research) and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) wrote a news story about it. We hope that this new field can prepare the next generation of scientists, health care providers, and teachers with the tools they need to navigate the changing cultural landscape about science and policy and work collaboratively with people across political, religious, and other cultural divides. The leadership team included Liz as well as Nicole Kelp from Colorado State University, Sarah Eddy from University of Minnesota, Heather Bergan-Roller from Northern Illinois University and Erin Rowland-Schaefer from University of Omaha Nebraska.
